Three Generations / 6+ Decades

Mr. Alex was born into a family of shirtmakers & tailors. His father Joseph was a master shirtmaker and taught him at a very young age. His Uncle was a shirtmaker and his mother was a master seamstress. He first opened in Beverly Hills on Burton Way, in the historic small stretch of retail near Doheny & Burton Way.

In 1971 he married Claire and together they created a unique and complementary tailoring tandem. From Burton Way to South Santa Monica Blvd to South Beverly Dr, they have dressed the world's most prominent leaders in business, sports, politics, and entertainment for the last 6 decades. Their costume design and stage wardrobe is particularly impressive and will forever be immortalized in museums and archives.

For the last 13 years, they are joined by their son Alex Jr as the third generation to continue this family legacy. Armed with a technical software engineering background, a business degree from USC, and more than a decade of experience drafting patterns and cutting, Alex Jr carries forward the traditions of craftsmanship as the cornerstone of our business.
